Expert Tip: The Media, Reporters and Social Media
Don’t be afraid to include selected media on your social posts.
Practically all media outlets have twitter accounts. Most individual reporters also have twitter accounts. By including their account on your social posts, you alert them to you and what you are doing. It’s a great way to strike up a conversation with reporters or media outlets. Some may retweet your tweets, providing you larger exposure.

Most media outlets have Instagram and Facebook pages as well. Similarly, if you include them in your posts, it may open doors for coverage.
