Move Over Black Friday, Artists Sunday is November 28

Nov. 23, 2021 — Sunday November 28, the Sunday after Thanksgiving, is Artists Sunday, the day to shop with local artists, creators, and makers. More than 550 communities and 4,200 individual artists, artisans and craftspeople are participating in the nationwide art-shopping movement, now in its second year.

A gift of the arts makes a heartfelt connection with friends and loved ones, while supporting local artists and boosting the local economy. Consumers can shop from a full range of art, hand-crafted items, experiences, and performances, finding a wide range of creative items that are both practical and beautiful.

If consumers cannot find local artists in their community, they can visit the Artists Sunday Online Directory and search for artists by location and the types of craft. The site also features an Events and Promotions Calendar with both online and in-person events as well as special offers and deals on a wide range of art that fits any budget.

“Give something special, unique, and handcrafted this holiday season and support local artists and the local economy.,” said Artists Sunday founder Christopher V. Sherman. “Communities from coast-to-coast, large and small, are celebrating Artists Sunday on Nov 28, 2021 by highlighting local artists, creators and makers and promoting the giving of artistic items and experiences for the holidays.”

Artists Sunday is positioned during the year’s busiest holiday shopping weekend, Artists Sunday, falls between Black Friday, Small Business Saturday® and Cyber Monday. Artists Sunday unites artists and communities across the country, all promoting purchases from local artisans.
